Brocksbushes' 155,000-pumpkin patch is open daily from 16 October, £3.50 a head. Hexham Spook Night and Blyth's fireworks are both on Saturday 31 October.

Alnwick Garden 25th Anniversary: Fireworks 2 to 4 October
Evening tickets are £10 for fireworks, lasers and a Grand Cascade water show on 2 to 4 October. Dogs must leave by 5pm, and under-16s go free with an adult.

The marathon and half both start at 10.15am on Sunday 4 October at Kielder Waterside. The 10K and gravel duathlon run the Saturday. No entries on the day.
